Route
This cycle tour primarily follows well-maintained cycle paths and quiet side streets, predominantly paved with asphalt. The route closely traces the shoreline of Lake Constance and is thoroughly signposted for your convenience. Suitable for cyclists with a moderate skill level (level 1-2).
Begin your journey with an individual arrival in the charming city of Constance.
Pedal through picturesque lakeside towns along Untersee Lake, arriving in the medieval gem, Stein am Rhein. Explore the medieval Hohenklingen castle and visit the Lindwurm museum before heading to Gailingen.
Discover Radolfzell’s cathedral and the scenic Mettnau Peninsula, one of Lake Constance’s largest natural reserves. Highlights include Bodman-Ludwigshafen, Überlingen, and the Birnau monastery church. Don’t miss the pile dwellings from the stone and bronze ages in Unteruhldingen.
Meersburg, a city of museums, transports you back to the Middle Ages. Take a seaway to Friedrichshafen, home to the fascinating Zeppelin Museum.
Today, explore the Lake Constance metropolis of Lindau and its historic charm. Visit the iconic lighthouses at Löwenmole and then head to the cultural stronghold of Bregenz. Take a cable car ride up to the Pfänder mountain for a unique view of the lake. Traverse the Rhine delta, the largest freshwater delta in Europe, and reach Höchst.
Continue your journey through the Rhine delta into Switzerland. Enjoy the picturesque villages and vast fruit farms of the Thurgau canton. Marvel at the dreamlike view of Lake Constance and the pre-Alps as you return to Constance. Optionally, shorten your route by 21 km with a train ride from Romanshorn to Constance.
Conclude your adventure with an individual departure or extend your stay to explore more of this captivating region.

Arrival - Parking - Departure
Arrival by plane
Airport: Friedrichshafen (FDH), Zürich (ZRH)
Zurich is the closest large airport and direct flights from Europe and Overseas are available. The Zurich airport has its own railway stop. Trains run frequently between Konstanz and Zurich (airport and city). It’s about 1 hour between the airport and Konstanz. Alternatively, you can fly into Friedrichshafen and take a 40 mins ferry across the lake.
Arrival by car
Parking at our company area: We are pleased to inform you, that you can park your car for the duration of the bicycle tour on our company area at a flat fee of € 60,- per car (to be paid in cash on site). The number of parking spaces is limited and it is not guarded.
Parking at the arrival hotels: The hotels have partially parking spaces directly at the building for fees of approx. € 10,- per night or in the proximity (free public parking or chargeable parking garages). For further information, you can contact the respective arrival hotel after receiving your hotel list.
Arrival by train
Train station: Constance
Depending on the hotel you are staying at in Constance, you can either get off at the Konstanz-Petershausen station or ride one station further to the main train station. You can take a taxi or the bus to the booked hotel. The connection information (route network map for downloading) of the bus routes can be found >>here

Triples/quadruples: Please note that triples/quadruples can only be booked for max. 2 adults. Triples/quadruples often are double rooms with extra beds (which might be folding or sofa beds).
We don’t offer half-board on this tour.
